The water supply through closed pipes entails various inconveniences when it comes to ensuring proper operation. One of them is the presence of air in the pipes, either contained in the water or introduced during its filling and emptying. During these processes it is necessary to place devices capable of allowing air to exit and enter without problems in order to work in complete safety.
The suction cups are the indicated device to allow the elimination of air in the pipeline thanks to their operation based on the float closure.
In the moments of filling and emptying the pipe, the water column expels or admits large amounts of air that have to pass through the suction cup. Filling is the most critical process, as it is necessary to evacuate a large amount of air at high speed.
Traditional suction cup designs have smaller outlet diameters than inlet diameters, producing an excessive increase in air velocity that can cause premature closure of the suction cup, due to ball-float drag.
The full bore suction cups are based on maintaining a passage section from the inlet to the outlet that is always the same or increasing, providing a high evacuation flow rate that allows the installation to work with maximum safety, avoiding air overpressures that can collapse the pipes. or large bubbles damaging pumping equipment.
The TRIPLE EFFECT suction cup also incorporates an automatic DN-1 ”suction cup to eliminate air when the installation is under load, avoiding performance losses and equipment errors.
