The air valve or air valves are essential elements for the protection of irrigation installations, since they avoid the accumulation of air masses inside the pressure pipes, as well as serve as a lung when sucking air into the moment of emptying the pipes, avoiding the crushing of the pipe by creating a vacuum.
The GTR air valve is made of the highest quality materials, which gives us great durability against the aggressions produced by environmental agents. This material has a high resistance to corrosion caused by chemicals that are normally used in agricultural work.
With the GTR air valve, the dreaded breaks due to air accumulation are avoided, making it leave the pipes at the same speed at which water enters when the installation is put into operation.
Any type of air pockets or bubbles that occur at high points are perfectly eliminated and reduce the passage section.

This guarantees a truly efficient operation of the air valve, allowing the expulsion of high air flows when the installation is under load and ensuring a low pressure shutdown.
- Filling the installation:
The air is efficiently extracted as the float is kept away from the kinetic air outlet port. When the water reaches the GTR air valve, the thrust of the float raises the shutter, thus constricting the silicone tube and closing the kinetic and automatic air outlet ports. In this situation, the sealing of the air valve is total from a pressure of 0,1kg / cm2.
- Emptying of the installation:
When the installation is emptied, the float descends together with the shutter causing the opening of the kinetic orifice of the air valve and allowing the suction of air from the outside, avoiding the crushing of the pipes.
- Installation under load:
When the air pockets reach the air valve, the float descends, unfolding the silicone tube, while the shutter remains closing the kinetic air outlet port, allowing automatic air exit through the silicone tube.
High resistance to pressure and chemical agents dissolved in irrigation water. Both the gasket and the tube are made of silicone, much more resistant to these products than materials such as EPDM or NBR. In this way, the operation of the air valve can be guaranteed for a much longer period than that of other similar products on the market.
