In the D-43 series trifunctional air valve, the characteristics of an automatic air valve are combined with those of an air and vacuum valve.
The air purge component is designed to automatically release small pockets of air that build up along the pipeline to the atmosphere when the system is full and pressurized.
The air and vacuum component has been designed to automatically discharge or admit large volumes of air, during filling or emptying of the pipeline. The valve will open to relieve negative pressures whenever water column separation occurs.
Applications:
- Pumping stations: after the pump and the retention valve (check).
- Downstream and upstream of the stopcocks.
- After deep well pumps.
- In long segments of pipes in constant decline.
- At high points along the line and in relation to the hydraulic slope.
- At the end of the lines.
- Before the counters (meters).
- In filters.

- Test pressure: 1.5 times the maximum working pressure of the valve.

The large size of the automatic vent hole in relation to the size of the valve body allows to discharge large volumes of air, reduce the risk of clogging by particles and impurities and allow the use of the drop-down rubber seal, less sensitive to pressure differences than direct float seals.
The body is made of reinforced nylon, resistant and protected against UV radiation. All operating parts are manufactured from specially selected, corrosion resistant materials.
Due to its low weight, the valve can be installed on plastic pipes or other lightweight materials.
Minimum downtime for maintenance. All operating parts are integrated in a replacement cartridge.
