Filtration for high flow rates
Galaxy is a high flow water filtration system with the following characteristics:

The filtration process occurs by compressing the slotted rings into a compact filter element. Water flows through the filter element, and suspended solids in the water are trapped between the rings.
Ring filtration has a high solids retention capacity, allowing long filtration cycles and few backwashing. Backwash technology saves water and energy.
Upon receiving a signal, the filter inlet valve closes the inlet passage and opens the drain. Filtered outlet water enters from the opposite direction through the outlet port of the filter. The water is forced to pass through the rings, while they are directed over the same tangential jets of filtered water and simultaneously the piston that kept the rings compressed is raised. The force of the water causes a rapid rotation of the separated rings and removes the retained solids. The solids are led from the filter to the drain.
This efficient technology results in a minimum amount of backwash water in a minimum time (seconds).
During the filtration process, water flows from the inlet manifold to the 4 '' filter through the 4''x3 '' inlet valves. The filtered water then passes to the outlet manifold. The backwash process starts according to differential pressure or time and is performed sequentially filter by filter.
