SKS LCE (Low Cost Energy) ring filters allow complete automation of the backwash process with minimal water consumption without sacrificing the performance of conventional SKS ring filters. Its revolutionary low pressure backwash system (1,5 bar-22 psi) by reversing flow with ring separation provides significant energy savings and increases the profitability of the system.
Wide range of filtration grades, SKS LCE filters facilitate a flexible and customized head design for each application, adaptable to any flow rate and with ease of expansion.
Applications:
- Surface water with a high content of algae.
- Water with a high organic load (wastewater).
- Other types of water for systems where there is no availability of high pressures or the energy cost is high (Kw/h)
Filtration process:
They use the proven technology of filtration in depth by means of rings.
In filtration mode, the rings are strongly compressed to form a filter assembly. The solids are retained in the filter element, making a selective capture depending on the degree of filtration selected. The water is conditioned for use.
Backwash process:
When a certain amount of dirt accumulates on the rings, the cleaning process is triggered, which activates the backwash valve, changing its position and reversing the flow direction inside the filter. Simultaneously, the rings separate while tangential water jets give them a rapid turning movement, releasing all trapped dirt particles.
The backwash water is expelled outside through the drain collector. At the end of the cleaning process, the filter and the backwash valve return to their normal filtering position.
