How does the GE Avantapure system treat water?
The GE Avantapure water treatment system saves money and conserves resources through our upflow proportional regeneration process. This innovative treatment process only regenerates the exhausted portion of the resin bed, making it an ecological system.
1. Raw water, with a high hardness, passes through an exchange resin bed.
2. Ca and Mg salts are attracted to the resin and adhere to the surface.
3. The passage of water through the resin bed removes all unwanted minerals (Ca and Mg).
4. The treated water passes through the central pipe and is distributed throughout the house.
5. The regenerant in the storage tank is used to clean the resins.
