The SSAT (Soil Solution Access Tube), or Suction Lysimeter, is a simple, low-cost, non-destructive method technology that has been developed to easily extract soil water samples for analysis. Provides the user with an accurate method to determine salinity or nutrient levels of plants. Because the sample is collected deep in the root zone, it reflects the true impact that fertilization has on the plant material.

Understanding soil water conditions helps the user make useful fertigation scheduling decisions that result in better yields and lower fertilizer, water, labor and energy costs.

- Low Voltage (LT) Tip (blue) for sandy soils and growing media.
- Double suction line, optional for long tubes.
- Collect soil water samples in the root zone.

In order to carry out an analysis, a sample of 10 to 15 cm3 is usually sufficient. The time required for the extraction of each sample varies depending on the humidity of the soil and the vacuum created in the instrument.

It should be kept in mind that the longer the instrument, the smaller the vacuum effect that can be achieved and therefore the longer it takes to obtain the moisture sample.
