PRESSURE SWITCHES

Description of PRESSURE SWITCHES

Find differential pressure switches for irrigation pumps on our website.

For a pump to activate automatically, it is necessary to install a differential pressure switch.

Differential pressure switches are devices that open or close an electrical circuit depending on the hydraulic pressure of the system.

That is, the pressure switch keeps the system pressurized at a certain pressure value (the one that interests us according to need). When the pressure drops because there is a demand for water in the system (for example, it is being irrigated), the pressure switch converts that hydraulic signal into an electrical one, and activates the start of the pump, which will suck in water and increase the pressure again.

When the system is at the cut-off pressure set on the pressure switch, as in the previous case, the hydraulic signal will become electrical and the pumping equipment will be deactivated.

Inside a differential pressure switch you can find: The electrical input and output connections, the connection to ground, the adjustments to regulate the desired pressure and the differential, which activates the start of the pump by means of screws.
