The iron collar is mainly used in PVC and polyethylene (PE) pipes for drip irrigation installations.

The collars are materials whose function is the extension of the pipe, mainly in large dimensions, for the derivation of the pipe network in a direction transverse to the main pipe.

They make a bypass of the water supply without having to make cuts to the pipe, completing it with greater security in fixing the pipe outlet.

For its execution, a drill bit that can pierce the pipe is necessary. then the collar itself is fixed on the main pipe, creating the bypass of the fluid through the outlet of the collar, usually threaded, giving the direction transverse to the pipe.

The collars can be classified according to their material (polypropylene PP collar, ductile iron collar or iron collar). All of these options are compatible for PVC or polyethylene PE pipes.

There is also the option of the collar with a charging socket, for its installation while the pipe is loaded with water.

To do this, a special collar is necessary, called a load tap, which can be installed without the network being drained.
