COLLARS / JOINTS

In a pipe network, the collars/unions are used to branch off the main pipes, allowing the networks to be extended. Its function also includes adjusting all the tubes of the piping system, preventing water leaks from occurring.

At Mundoriego we have these models of collars/joints: polypropylene, ductile cast iron and iron.

Polypropylene Collars/Unions are made from a blend of polypropylene and fiberglass (PPFV). They have bichromate iron screws and reinforcements and can be used on polyethylene (PE) and PVC pipes. Its manufacture follows the following regulations: ISO 13460:1998 (for collars), UNE-EN 1452 (PVC-U), UNE-EN 12201 (PE) and UNE-EN 19009 (threads). There are different types of polypropylene collars, such as simple socket, cast outlet hinge, threaded outlet hinge and Soloman type. They are manufactured with different pipe diameters (from 20 mm to 400 mm) and threaded outlets (from 1/2” to 4”).

Ductile iron collars can also be used on both polyethylene (PE) and PVC pipes. These collars are used in drinking water supply networks and in industrial sanitation. They have an internal EPDM coating and also with stainless screws and washers threaded to their body. Ductile iron saddles are manufactured with three types of socket: threaded outlet socket, flanged outlet socket and loaded socket. They are available with different diameters of both pipe (from 40 mm to 500 mm) and threaded outlet (from 3/4 ″ to 3 ”). We also have different types of flange outlet: DN 50/65, DN 80/100, DN 125/150 and DN 200.

Iron collars are used in both polyethylene (PE) and PVC pipe fittings. They are made of GGG-25 gray cast iron and have an EPDM rubber gasket. Their pipe diameters range between 50 and 315 mm, with thread outlets varying between 1/2 "and 4".

We also put at your disposal different types of clamp: clamping clamp, Gibault union, Arpol union, universal union for PVC, Aco-Flex union for PVC drain, anti-traction union, Hermetic clamp, and pipe supports. Depending on the type of clamp, we can find different clamping models (sheet metal, endless and Supra), diameters (50 mm to 500 mm), nominal widths (95 mm or 200 mm) and nominal diameters (DN50 to DN350, with multiple variations ).

In Mundoriego we also have all the necessary accessories for the correct installation and maintenance of joints: Teflon, PVC adhesive, solvent,drip irrigation systems, pipe cleaner, pipe lubricant and dense pipe compound.
