Since these meters depend on the flow being able to carry a current, electromagnetic meters cannot work with non-conductive liquids, such as osmotized water, distilled water, hydrocarbons (diesel, gasoline, etc.), organic alcohols or oils. They are used to measure flows of water, acids, sludge and bases. They can be found by monitoring fillings, dosages and making exact measurements in custody transfer.
