INJECTORS

Description of INJECTORS

Injectors are irrigation components used to introduce fertilizers and other chemicals into a drip irrigation system.

They can be used both in large crops and in urban gardens.

At Mundoriego we have two types of injectors: venturi and hydraulic.

Venturi injectors base their operation on the venturi effect.

This phenomenon consists in that a fluid in movement inside a closed conductor sees its pressure decreased when it has to pass through a smaller area.

When the speed increase is very large, large pressure differences can be produced. These cause the aspiration of the fluid inside another conductor.

In the case of venturi-type injectors, a narrowing causes the speed of the fluid they transport to increase, causing a change in pressure and sucking the fertilizer they contain into a tank.

These injectors have threads, obtaining flow rates that can range between 8 l/h and 1.100 l/h.

Hydraulic injectors work thanks to hydraulic motors that are activated by the pressure exerted by the water in the irrigation system, so they do not need external energy sources.

They can adjust the dose of fertilizer to be supplied quickly and easily.

They work at a low flow rate, are highly resistant to UV rays and easily withstand the effects of chemical products.
